Girls with Curls

My neighbor Christy and I trade off watching each other's kids often when we need to run errands and such.  She has a little boy and sometimes likes to play around with the girls' longer hair.  Last week I had practice and Russell had an appointment so she watched them for us. When he went up to get the girls from Christy this is what he saw.  Mind you they rarely let me touch their hair to just put in one little pony tail, but they let Christy do this . . .

Isn't that just the cutest picture!  I'm so grateful to Christy for capturing this moment!
Below is Morgan with the curlers in.

And with curlers out- so 80s!

And here is the cheese girl, Madylin, with her cute curly 'do.

Pregnancy Details

SO I guess I had my fun yesterday being vague and now I'll give some details.  No I did not just take that pregnancy test, it was taken about 7 weeks ago or so.  I am now 11 weeks along and the baby is due August 14th.  We are super excited and I have only been a little bit nauseous off and on from weeks 4 to 9.  I'm good now and can't wait to get into some comfy maternity clothes (but I guess I have to wait until I 'm actually showing, darn)

Everything is different this time around (starting with the fact that this time we were trying to have a baby and not preventing), so I kinda feel like I'm pregnant for the 1st time.  I hear tales that I will only have to go to the doctor once a month for a while- how wonderful!  My last trimester won't be spent in the doctor's office for 2 hours, 2 times a week?  Yes please! I might be awake and actually doing something during childbirth?  What novelty!  Oh and I'm not going to be feeling 8 limbs doing the conga in my belly when I'm trying to sleep? Bliss! But I think the best part is that I won't get to the point where I only have 2 shirts that fit over my monstrous belly until maybe month 9 instead of month 7!

I will miss getting to have an ultrasound with full anatomy scans for the baby at every single doctor's appointment.  Even though I hated going to my 2 doctors from 3 to 10 times a month (and paying all those copays), I will miss getting to check on the baby so often.  So I am in for some new stuff and we are so happy.  We ask the twins "where's mommy's baby?" and they point to my stomach and it is so cute!  That's how we broke the news to Russell's parents ( ;

Some Cute Random Stuff

Madylin- such a sweet face!  I love this picture.

Morgan saying "cheese"

Here are pictures of the girls taking turns spinning each other in Grandma Kinser's computer chair.  They were doing so well at taking turns- it was precious.

The girls still love to hold hands and they really like it when all 4 of us hold hands.  I couldn't get my hands in the picture too, but this is what I got of us walking to our car hand-in-hand.

Notice Anything Off About These Pictures . . .

We bought these shirts for the girls for Christmas.  What's funny is that Morgan's "lil' sister" shirt is a size 24 months and Madylin's "big sister" shirt is size 18 months.  Madylin IS the older sister by 2 minutes and she definitely has the older sister attitude.  It's not her fault her "lil" sister is like 6 pounds heavier.

Good Clean Family Fun

Over the Christmas holiday we were able to spend a lot of time with Russell's family.  His sister Jennifer was here with her family from Utah, and his brother Aaron was here from Minnesota with his wife and 2 little boys.  The cousins had a lot of fun playing together and we had fun getting to know Aaron's kids since we had only seen Isaac once and never met 9 month old Austin!

It was rare that the girls would go to Aaron (they hadn't seen him since they were 3 months old) but at one point they sat on his lap and he read them a book with his kids.

The girls LOVE baths and had a blast with their cute little red-headed cousins Staci and Stefani.  (I cut Staci out of the picture because at 4, I think she is a little old to have bath pictures up for people to see! ( ;  )

We had fun one night playing "baseball" with the kids.  Here is Jennifer hitting with Morgan and Russell with Madylin.  And also Russell and Morgan pitching a ball for Madylin.

By the end of the visit, the girls were kinda taken with Uncle Mark.  Or "Mawk" as they call him.
